Admissions

When applying to college, most students either undersell themselves, scatter their narrative, or keep their vision too narrow. I help fix that.

I work with passionate high school juniors and seniors on the part of applying to college that is the most misunderstood: putting together what you already have and making it land.

What that looks like in practice: directing your introspective journey and self-definition, identifying which parts of you a selective admissions reader will actually respond to, and through this, helping you figure out what to study and where to apply. Essentially, finding your voice.

Essays specifically — I do the full arc. Whiteboarding what to write, structure, drafts, line-level editing. This is the art of making your unique voice ring true.

I also do SAT prep, and I'm good at it. My focus is on strategically tackling weaker topics through a holistic approach, while building deep understanding and intuition.

Students I've worked with have been admitted to Harvard, Yale, UC Berkeley, and CMU — among others.

What I'm not: a professional educational consultant, or interested in becoming one. I lead a busy life, and I work best with self-starting, driven students who need guidance, not handholding.

On cost: I charge for my time — I've found things go better for everyone when I do. But I'm not running a business, so the rate is an honest conversation. I've charged market rates; I've also put in hundreds of free hours where it made sense. Reach out and we can figure something out.
